Description
I love the beautiful seed capsules of maple trees. They are technically called samsaras, but often called helicopters, especially by children, since they rotate like helicopters when they mature and fall off the trees.
We have a number of maple trees in our yard, but most of them are male trees, with small flowers that produce the pollen. There is one large female tree behind our house, and the seeds are very high, so I had to shoot toward the sky to capture them.
Processed in Photoshop with Topaz Studio and Impression, with a texture added.
Nikon D810 with Nikon 200mm micro lens.

Magnificent photographic art, as always dear Anita! Your entire gallery is a ream, and I love being here. Especially in spring and summer! I am craving it!
