Description
I shot this charming pair of black-eyed susans last fall by the rail trail. Every flower there had a distinctive personality, and it was fun shooting them and giving them each a name. I call this pair "Mother and Child Dance of Joy" because the main flower seems to be dancing and reaching out to her "child" to join her in a joyous dance.
I wanted to make the background black to showcase the shape and movement of the petals and I used a filter in Topaz Studio called "Molten Gold" to get this effect.
Nikon P7800 in macro mode.
Processed in Photoshop with Topaz Studio and other filters.
