In the summer, I can’t get enough of our gorgeous daylilies!
This one is called “Pink Apricot Serenade” and it is the undisputed queen of our garden. The flowers are large and magnificent, and I can shoot them at eye level, so it doesn’t put a strain on my back. I have to use a bench for some of our lower flowers, but not for these.
I shot this one in the magic light of early evening, and the lighting was just amazing. This is pretty much as shot, with two textures from Flypaper Textures added (Masque and Brushed Rose) using Adobe Paper Textures.
Nikon D700 with Nikon 105mm micro lens.
