Description
I love black-eyed Susans, and our plants were really prolific this past summer. I spent many afternoons shooting them, especially flowers that rose above the others so I could get a nice background. For this one the background was a beautiful purple Russian sage plant that blurred wonderfully when I shot with my Lensbaby Sol 45 and 4x diopters so I could get close.
I call it "Pure Joy" because the flower appears to be dancing with great joy, and it also expresses the pure joy I am feeling after going though a challenging life journey this past year.
