Description
Cobblestone Beach is a very special spot along Ocean Drive at Acadia National Park. It is a great place to photograph a sunrise, and someday we may do that, but this visit was on an overcast day late if the afternoon in early fall. The shots of the water were very dull, but there were several pieces of very cool driftwood on the beach that caught my eye. This one reminded me of a giant claw.
I wanted to create an abstract that would add both color and a sense of movement to the rocks while highlighting the very interesting driftwood claw.
Processed in Photoshop with On1 Perfect Effects to bring some color into the cobblestones and Topaz Studio with a Color Punch Smudge filter to get more colors and movement and more abstraction.
