Back in October we visited Endless Summer Dahlia Farm in Camden, Maine, a place where I had the good fortune to visit and photograph when I took a class in Maine last summer.
We spent a lovely couple of hours there in the morning and early afternoon, photographing the gorgeous dahlias to get ideas for our garden next year, as we did in the late afternoon at the beautiful Thuya Garden in Northeast Harbor, Maine. All in all, it was a perfect dahlia day!
Lavender Ice was one of our favorites - the flowers are small, but full of charm and beautiful color, brought even more to life with that yellow center.
Processed in Photoshop - isolated the image, then added the textures behind it and painted in Topaz Impression.
