Description
I have a great love of black-eyed susans and I often photograph them along the rail trail in the summer and fall. Like all flowers, each one is unique, but these flowers seem to have an abundance of personality, which I try to bring out in my processing.
This particular flower had an unusually beautiful center, with flowing petals surrounding it, and one particular petal on the lower left that really caught my eye. I converted the image to black and white and then added a touch of violet to highlight that lovely center.
Processed in Photoshop with Topaz Studio and Nik Silver Efex Pro, with the color added using a Flaming Pear filter, masked to show only the center.
