Queen duvet cover (88" x 88") featuring the image "Tulip Family Portrait" by Anita Pollak. Our soft microfiber duvet covers are hand sewn and include a hidden zipper for easy washing and assembly. Your selected image is printed on the top surface with a soft white surface underneath. All duvet covers are machine washable with cold water and a mild detergent.

Our tulips had a wonderful season this year because the early spring warmth in April gave way to cooler temperatures in May, prolonging the season for these lovely flowers. This variety is called Cherry Delight, and a delight it is. And this particular cluster looked like a family to me, and I shot it many times as the season went on. This was in early May, on an overcast day when the flowers were closed tightly. I darkened the edges to put the focus on the beautiful red blooms.
Processed in Photoshop with Nik Color Efex 4 and an edge-darkening texture.
Nikon D810 with Nikon 200mm micro lens.

I have enjoyed photographing nature since I first learned to use a camera more advanced than my childhood Instamatic! When my husband Rick and I bought our home in Massachusetts back in 1979, we fell in love with the beautiful wooded wetland behind the house, and over the years we have come to love it even more. We also love gardening and the original property was mostly lawn. Over time we updated the landscape many times, and recently we added a naturalistic woodland garden near the wetlands and more cultivated gardens in the front and side yards.
