We had a lovely trip to Saint Andrews in N6ew Brunswick, Canada, which is home to the magnificent Kingsbrae Garden. We went on two different days - one sunny and hot, and the other drizzly and cool. Of course the best images came from the raindrops gracing the flowers and foliage. The lilacs were in bloom even in late June, since it was a very late spring in Canada, as well as here in New England. What a treat to see these lovely Korean lilac buds covered with glorious droplets. A couple of filters and several textures from Jai Johnson complete the magical effect.

I have enjoyed photographing nature since I first learned to use a camera more advanced than my childhood Instamatic! When my husband Rick and I bought our home in Massachusetts back in 1979, we fell in love with the beautiful wooded wetland behind the house, and over the years we have come to love it even more. We also love gardening and the original property was mostly lawn. Over time we updated the landscape many times, and recently we added a naturalistic woodland garden near the wetlands and more cultivated gardens in the front and side yards.
