The Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory spans the Penobscot River between Prospect and Verona Island, Maine. It is a must-see stop for visitors to coastal Maine and a great place to visit on the way to Acadia National Park. The views from the observatory are amazing - you take an elevator up 42 stories and you have a 360-degree view of the village of Bucksport and historic Fort Knox, which you can visit at the park where the bridge is located.

I have enjoyed photographing nature since I first learned to use a camera more advanced than my childhood Instamatic! When my husband Rick and I bought our home in Massachusetts back in 1979, we fell in love with the beautiful wooded wetland behind the house, and over the years we have come to love it even more. We also love gardening and the original property was mostly lawn. Over time we updated the landscape many times, and recently we added a naturalistic woodland garden near the wetlands and more cultivated gardens in the front and side yards.
