Description
The daylily is such a special flower - so beautiful, vibrant, and full of life, but only for one day. Daylilies are one of my favorite flowers, and there is no better place to enjoy them in all their glory than the Daylily Walk at the Berkshire Botanical Garden. It is a magnificent serpentine path that meanders down a gently sloping hill, each side bursting with gorgeous daylilies.
The third week of July is one of the best times to see the daylilies, and we were lucky to be able to visit back on July 21. The weather was perfect, as was the lighting, and the daylilies were certainly in their glory.
This lovely daylily is called "Tammas," and I took many shots from different angles, this one being my favorite.
Processed in Photoshop with filters from On1 and Topaz, with a touch of photopainting in Topaz Impression, and several textures from French Kiss Textures and Jai Johnson.
Nikon D810 with Nikon 200mm micro lens.
