I didn't really take this shot at night but as I played with different filters I decided that it would look cool as a nighttime image. I darkened the background, painted with Topaz Impression and added several textures, including a night sky texture for the top of the image. I have enjoyed photographing nature since I first learned to use a camera more advanced than my childhood Instamatic! When my husband Rick and I bought our home in Massachusetts back in 1979, we fell in love with the beautiful wooded wetland behind the house, and over the years we have come to love it even more. We also love gardening and the original property was mostly lawn. Over time we updated the landscape many times, and recently we added a naturalistic woodland garden near the wetlands and more cultivated gardens in the front and side yards. I love photographing flowers, and many of my flower photos were taken in our yard or at three very special botanical gardens in New England:
