I shot this beautiful maple leaf on the Nashua River Rail Trail in Groton, Massachusetts in late October. The foliage was past peak, but still really beautiful, and this maple leaf just called out to me!
I was able to use the macro feature on my 35-70mm lens to get in close, and this is uncropped, although obviously not straight from the camera!

Nikon D700 with Nikon 35-70mm lens at 35mm macro setting.
